Smart Parking

Council has now introduced Smart Parking to areas of Cowes and Wonthaggi.

Smart Parking is a proven way to better manage our free parking using technology to help drivers save time finding an available bay and provide better access to businesses. It is not paid parking.

The Project involved the installation of 506 parking bay sensors and be supported by a Smart Parking availability app to help visitors and local residents find a park faster.

The Smart Parking Project does not have an impact on the current number of parking bays and there are no changes to parking limits/restrictions. This means that the number of parking spaces, including accessible parking spaces, available in Cowes and Wonthaggi will remain the same. It's simply a better way to manage our free parking.
