Road Management Plan 2017 Review

Thanks for Your Feedback!

Community consultation closed on Friday, 25 March 2022. We are collating all your feedback on our standards for road maintenance in the current Road Management Plan 2017 (RMP). The review will continue once we have taken every comment received into consideration. You will find a link to the RMP below.

What are we reviewing?

The current RMP covers the standards by which we maintain our public roads and footpaths. It sets inspection intervals and identifies hazards that will be repaired.

The purpose of the review is to ensure our service levels are appropriate and in line with community expectations. We invited feedback from the Community about any suggested changes to the existing plan. You told us what you would like to see so we can move forward with the review.

Where else can I view the RMP?

The RMP was made available for examination until Friday, 25 March 2022 at our Customer Service Centres, located at Wonthaggi, Cowes, Inverloch or Grantville during office hours.

How do I make a submission?

Submissions closed on Friday, 25 March 2022. We are now collating and considering all submissions and data collected.

What's not included in the review?

The review doesn't cover standards for road construction. Major and arterial roads are managed by Department of Transport (VicRoads) and are not covered by the Plan. The Road Register and Pathway Register identify local roads and pathways managed by Council.

Next Steps

Following closure of the feedback period, we are considering all submissions and data collected. The Council will receive a review report at a future Council Meeting.
