Wonthaggi - Street Art Wall Murals - Durham Lane

Notice of Works

Bass Coast Shire wishes to advise of some street art works in Durham Lane, Wonthaggi has started and is expected to be completed During the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

The Street Art scheme is a series of one-off mural projects across the Shire devised to enliven urban areas of towns and encourage discussion and community involvement over what street art is and how it can serve the community. Local and visiting artists are being commissioned via a number of models to bring their vision to the walls of Bass Coast.

What to Expect

Please be advised, a mural artwork is being installed at the above, off-street, address on the following dates and times.

  • Council requests all parties to not interfere with or speak to the artist while this work is being performed.
  • Do not, under any circumstance, enter the work site area as heavy equipment will be in use plus water and paint spraying will be underway.
  • Good’s deliveries to Durham Lane will be via Watt Street with vehicles diverted east along Richmond Lane.
  • Please take care when walking around the work site as local business customers are driving into the car park at all times.
  • Contractors will take all necessary steps to avoid overspray on the surrounding area and vehicles during the installation.
