Mahers Landing Boating Facility Upgrade - Planning
Council has been working with Better Boating Victoria to develop various concept designs for the upgrade of the Mahers Landing Boating Facility. We have received a report which outlines various options for the upgrade.
The reason that this facility is looking to be upgraded is, when boat launching and retrieval reaches its peak, the Inverloch Boat Ramp can become too congested. It also faces some issues with wind and wave action which also makes launching and retrieval difficult.
Council sought community feedback on the plan and is currently reviewing submissions before adopting a final plan later in 2021.
Council undertook community engagement
There were two ways that we sought feedback from the broader boating community;
- Through an online survey
- A drop-in session at Inverloch Hub on 11 April, where people were able to provide feedback in person, and get some more detailed information
