Cowes Childrens Hub - Floor Covering Replacement - COMPLETED

Bass Coast Shire Council appointed contractors Carpet Court Phillip Island to carry out floor covering replacement works to the Cowes Childrens Hub. Below are some photos of the completed works. Works at the Cowes Children’s Hub were completed while the facility was vacant over the Christmas holidays and completed early January 2021.

The major renewal and upgrade works included the replacement of all floor coverings and were programmed during the Christmas school break as to not disrupt the important service the facility provides. These works are fully funded by Council in the order of $70,000 and are part of Council’s 2020/21 Capital Works Program.

The works were programmed as part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s Building and Open Space Renewal Program for 2020/21. This continuing program is part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s commitment in providing functional and safe building facilities, reserves and other public infrastructure within the Bass Coast. This project will help ensure delivery of Council's adopted Community Service Levels for, Community Health and complement similar projects within the Shire recently completed under the Building and Open Space Renewal Program, in response to customer requests received from local residents and groups.

The renewal and upgrade works will improve the quality and safety of the service’s capability which will improve program delivery the facility can offer local families.
