Coast & Bushland Volunteer Groups
Volunteer groups help Council manage 42 kilometres of foreshore in Bass Coast Shire. They help with revegetation, weed removal and remnant vegetation protection. Council and the community value and support the work of these volunteer groups.
Council supplies these groups with equipment and some funding for their activities. Groups also apply for grants for small infrastructure projects, such as boardwalks, walking tracks, bird housing and recreational facilities, which enhance and protect our environment.
There are several volunteer groups across Bass Coast Shire that do great work all year round. New volunteers are always welcome to join these friendly, community-minded groups.
