Planning an Event

Events are welcome in Bass Coast and it's most likely you will need a permit.

The usual triggers for a permit are changed traffic conditions, road closures, and restricted access to Council or public land. If your event is on private land, you may require a planning permit.

Council's Event Management Guide aims to give Event Organisers the information required to navigate the planning, delivery and evaluation of a successful event in our region.

Each event is unique and organisers face different challenges. Council will look at each application on its merits and will apply appropriate permit conditions to ensure the safety of the public and help the success of the event. You will be contacted by the Events Team to discuss your application once it is received.
