If you live in regional Victoria, your stories won't look or sound like city stories. The St Kilda Film Festival's 'Your Place' competition asks regional Victorians to get creative while they're staying safe at home.
Whether you've got access to high-quality camera equipment or simply a TikTok account, St Kilda Film Festival invites inspired Victorians to tell us their story through film for the chance to share in a prize pool worth over $5,000, with first place taking home $3,500 cash and a DaVinci Resolve Studio from Blackmagic Design valued at $595.
Shortlisted films will also be seen by nationwide audiences as part of the St Kilda Film Festival program.
With the current closure of galleries, museums and public art spaces, this is the time to get art out, about, and onto the site we take with us everywhere—our own bodies. Putting art front and centre, Art You Can Wear invites submissions from artists and non-artists worldwide for designs that will be printed on a limited edition run of T‑shirts.
Printed locally on Fair Wear accredited 100% organic cotton, a donation from each T‑shirt sold will be made to NAVA's Artists' Benevolent Fund and the ten selected submissions will receive a fee of AUD $1,500.
Test Sites Online 2020 is open to artists and creatives working across all disciplines and at any stage of their career who want to develop their ideas for the public realm.
We encourage applications from artists working across a diverse range of art forms including film and sound works, performance, sculpture, collaborative and interactive work, installation, architecture and other hybrid forms or emerging practices.
The program also supports artists with a studio based practice wanting to work in the public realm. Applications will be assessed by a panel as part of a broader selection process with funding of up to $5000.

The Prize is a non-acquisitive cash award of $15,000.
Presented by the City of Melville and Heathcote Cultural Precinct, $15,000 total will be awarded across multiple categories.
It recognises contemporary visual art made for the screen, including video art, custom software, hypertext and artist made games.

Botanical art in Australia has undergone somewhat of a renaissance in the last 10 years; however, unlike other botanical art prizes, we’re not looking for scientific illustrations nor necessarily representative work – the only limitation being that work must directly relate to the theme of Western Australian flora and make reference to specific WA species.
Prizes: Winner: $7500 (acquisitive) and People’s Choice: $500 (non-acquisitive)
Submissions exploring the wider experience of spirituality, religion and/or belief are invited.
The Blake Art Prize attracts entries from artists around the world looking for exposure for their work, the opportunity to be hung in the exhibition and to compete for various prizes including the $35,000 main prize.
The Incinerator Art Award call for entries open on 13 April - 18 May 2020 The Incinerator Art Award is the Incinerator Gallery’s annual contemporary art prize inspired by the theme of art for social change.
In light of the profound impact of the COVID-19 virus and the affect that current global events are having on Australian visual artists, we have adjusted Incinerator Art Award 2020. This year it is easier to apply (and free!) and we are providing significant opportunities for future display of artworks at the gallery.
