PICS was established in 1968 and is active in protecting the Phillip Island environment.

PICS has quarterly meetings with speakers and auspices Red Rocks Coast Care, Saltwater Creek Coastcare, Preserve Western Port Action Group and Friends of Scenic Estate Reserve.
