Wonthaggi Activity Centre Plan

The Wonthaggi Activity Centre Plan was prepared in association with “Mesh Liveable Communities” to enhance the quality and the character of the Wonthaggi town centre and reinforce the town's status as a Regional Centre.

We sought feedback on the draft Plan between Monday, 8 July and Friday, 2 August 2019 through an online portal, pop-up sessions and a visioning workshop. Feedback on the draft Plan has now closed but if you have any questions please contact our Strategic Planning Team on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211 or by email to strategic.planningadmin@basscoast.vic.gov.au.

The online portal is still available to view below but comments and survey responses can no longer be made.

Following a Council resolution in December 2019, Council commissioned the Institute of Sensible Transport to prepare the Wonthaggi Access and Movement Study to resolve competing objectives relating to freight, car parking, public transport, pedestrians and private vehicles identified through community feedback.

The Activity Centre Plan and the Access and Movement Study were adopted by Council at the April 2021 Council Meeting. Final versions of the document can be found below:
