National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides individualised support for eligible people with permanent and significant disability, their families and carers.

The NDIS provides a flexible, whole-of-life approach to the support needed by people with a disability, to pursue their goals and aspirations and participate in daily life.

For information regarding the NDIS please phone 1800 800 110 or visit the NDIS website.

Our Role in Supporting People with a Disability

All Councils have a key role in supporting the NDIS and to increase participation of people with a disability in the community.

Our Disability Action Plan 2016 - 2020 guides our actions and planning to improve opportunities for access and inclusion to those who live, work, study in, or visit Bass Coast.

You can download our Disability Action Plan below or contact our Aged and Disability Team on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211 for more information.
