Smiths Beach Town Plan

In 2020 we asked the community about their vision and aspirations for Smiths Beach. Since then, Council has developed the Draft Smiths Beach Town Plan and is releasing it to the public for feedback.

The Draft Smiths Beach Town Plan has been developed in collaboration with a panel of community members and a reference group of key organisations including the Smiths Beachcombers Association, Phillip Island Nature Parks and the Woolamai Surf Life Saving Club.

The Smiths Beach Town Plan presents a vision for Smith Beach’s future across 8 key dimensions: Access and Movement, Built Form, Environment, Governance, Land Use, Play and Celebration, Public Realm and Services.

The draft plan also includes four “gamechanger” projects, including a new trail, upgrades to the Smiths Beach and YCW Beach Car Parks and a proposed shared zone on Smiths Beach Road among other actions and initiatives across the wider community.

The Draft Plan is available here:

Members of the community and those with an interest in Smiths Beach are invited to complete the survey on the below link to provide their feedback on the draft plan:
