There is still time to get involved in the 2019 Bass Coast Business Awards by nominating your business for the Judged Awards, or by voting for your favourite business in the People's Choice Awards.

Nominations for the Judged Awards and the People's Choice Awards close on Monday, 8 July at 5.00pm.

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, said businesses can enter the Judged Awards and the community can get involved through the People's Choice Awards.

"Previous entrants have said the Awards process is a great way to assess and evaluate their businesses," Cr Tessari said.

"It's always good to stand back and reflect on your strengths, the challenges and identify potential opportunities for the future.

"It's a great opportunity to toot your own horn!"

Cr Tessari said the publicity, recognition and the credibility of the Bass Coast Business Awards can be a great boost for local businesses.

"There is also an opportunity for the local community to celebrate their favourite Bass Coast business, by voting in the People's Choice Awards section," Cr Tessari said.

There are seven categories in the Judged Awards. These include:

  • Business Excellence - up to five employees;
  • Business Excellence - six or more employees;
  • Marketing and Promotion;
  • New Business;
  • Environment and Sustainability;
  • Good Access is Good Business; and
  • Industry Collaboration.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner on Friday, 23 August at RACV Inverloch Resort. If you would like to attend the Awards Presentation Dinner, you can book tickets online at
