
Pathway renewals across Bass Coast
A number of footpath renewal works are occurring across Bass Coast as part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s 2018/19 Pathway Renewal program, to ensure delivery of Council’s community service levels and continuous improvement of connectivity in Bass Coast.
The works, which are fully funded by Council, involve replacing sections of concrete, gravel and asphalt paths with either a 1.5m or 2m wide fibre reinforced concrete path which will provide pedestrians with a safer footpath and improved connectivity and accessibility.
Locations of these renewal works include:
- Along Broome Crescent between Cameron Street and Queen Street, Wonthaggi. The existing concrete path will be replaced with a 1.5 metre wide concrete path at a cost in the order of $35,000.
- Along Bass Highway Grantville from Grantville Hall access to approximately 120 meters North-East. The existing path will be replaced with a 2 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path, drainage and pedestrian fencing at a cost in the order of $21,450.
- Replacement of sections of asphalt and gravel path along Mariners Court, Corinella. The existing path will be replaced with a 2 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path at a cost in the order of $10,800.
- Replace a section of path near the Cape Paterson Community Hall. The existing asphalt path will be replaced with a 1.5 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path at a cost in the order of $11,000.
- Along Blue Gum Court and Redwood Drive, Cowes. The existing concrete path will be replaced with a 1.5 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path at a cost in the order of $27,000.
- Along Daryl Avenue in Wonthaggi, the existing concrete path will be replaced with a 1.5 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path at a cost in the order of $58,500.
- Along Jennifer Court in Wonthaggi, the existing concrete path will be replaced with a 1.5 metre-wide fibre reinforced concrete path at a cost in the order of $26,325.
