Drainage improvements on the way

Friday 27 August 2021

Bass Coast Shire Council will carry out kerb and pit renewal works in Cowes, Silverleaves, Newhaven, San Remo and Grantville in coming months.

Kerb and pit renewal works are carried out as preparation for Council’s annual road re-surfacing program. The works are needed to maximise the road pavement life, by improving drainage and ensuring that stormwater flows freely into the underground drainage network.

The kerb and pit renewal program has begun and is expected to be completed by end of October. These works are fully funded by Council in the order of $165,000.
