Anderson Street Reserve Plan drafted
Bass Coast Shire Council is calling on the community, to have their say on the Draft Master Plan for the Anderson Street Reserve in San Remo.
The Draft Master Plan is the first ever plan for the Reserve and has been developed in collaboration between Council and the local community. It brings together the community’s priorities for the Reserve and Council’s directions identified within Active Bass Coast 2018 and the Bass Coast Playspace Strategy 2017.
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari said that the aim of the Draft Master Plan is to guide future development of the Reserve over the next 10 years.
“The creation of a community driven vision for this local Reserve allows Council to identify priorities that may be eligible for grants and future funding opportunities,” Cr Tessari said.
“The recent consultation highlighted how important the Reserve is to the San Remo community.
“The Draft Master Plan proposes to enhance the open space with tree planting and the development of pathways, a seniors exercise area, a nature based playspace, rotunda and an accessible car park,” Cr Tessari concluded.
