Anderson Street Reserve Master Plan to take shape

Friday 4 June 2021

Bass Coast Shire Council is seeking community feedback to help develop a Master Plan for the Anderson Street Reserve in San Remo.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari said everyone who uses the Reserve, or has an interest in it’s future use, should get involved in the consulation process.

“We want to know how you use the Reserve now, as well as what you would like to see happen at the Reserve in the future, Cr Tessari said.

The community can provide feedback at the upcoming drop-in session, being held at the Reserve on Thursday, 17 June from 3.00pm to 6.00pm, or in writing, addressed to Council’s Recreation and Open Space Planner, Ella Angarane, via email or by post to PO Box 118, Wonthaggi 3995. Submissions need to be received by midnight on Sunday, 20 June.

The aim of the Master Plan is to recognise the important role the Reserve will play as a local park over the next 10 years, as the town grows.

Council has appointed local Landscape Architect, Orchard Design, to undertake the Plan. Information gathered through this initial community consultation phase will be used to inform the draft design.
