Structured Workplace Learning - Work Placement Opportunities for Year 11 students in 2022

Council has partnered with the South Gippsland Bass Coast Local Learning and Employment Network to offer Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) opportunities for secondary school students living in Bass Coast. We have places available to Year 11 students looking for placements for Semester 1 of 2022.

Structured Workplace Learning - What is it?

Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) is a State Government initiative that provides opportunities for school students to undertake work placement. SWL is available to Victorian students who are undertaking VET as part of their VCE or VCAL studies.

If you are going to be completing a VET subject as part of Year 11 and are interested in a placement at Bass Coast Shire Council, please express your interest through the Structured Workplace Learning Portal

Traineeships & Apprenticeships

We are committed to offering a variety of Traineeship and Apprenticeship opportunities each year and offer you the chance to get hands-on experience while gaining a qualification. Students also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other services across Council while completing their Traineeship or Apprenticeship.
