The world's biggest cancer fundraiser "Relay for Life" is coming to Cowes on 7 & 8 November 2009 at the Cowes Recreation Reserve (Football Oval).
This is a community event to fight cancer. The event commences at 12 noon on Saturday 10 and finishes at 12 noon on Sunday 11.
The Bass Coast Relay for Life is:
An overnight outdoor event raising money for the Cancer Council Victoria
Fund raising before the event for the cause
Teams of 10 or more people taking turns to walk (or run!) laps over 24 hours
A celebration of people who have survived cancer
A rememberance of loved ones lost
A means of supporting people fighting cancer
Having fun at a festive celebration of hope - performers, live bands, ceremonies, team games, karaoke and food keep teams entertained throughout the event
Pitching a tent and sleeping at the venue
