Installation of the marine intake and outlet structures for the Victorian Desalination Project is now complete. Two intake and two outlet structures have been installed on the seabed.

The jack-up barge has been towed away from Williamsons Beach to a designated location off Rhyll, where it will remain for 1-2 weeks of demobilisation work. The location has been designated by the managing Port authority.

When demobilisation is complete, the barge will be towed to Cowes, where it will be collected by a transportation vessel and will leave the area.

The temporary Marine Exclusion Zone will remain in place at Williamsons Beach while some minor activities are completed, such as removal of barge anchors.
