Native Vegetation Lists

Currently less than 10 per cent of the original native cover remains in Bass Coast, so help our environment by choosing locally grown indigenous plants.

Our Indigenous Plants brochure (PDF 3.6MB) lists a wide variety of species suited specifically to the Bass Coast environment.  The plants listed have adapted to local conditions such as soil type and climate and they require less water. There is no need to import soil or fertilisers. Indigenous plants are important for a number of reasons, including their value as habitat for indigenous animals.
