The Wonthaggi & Dalyston Structure Plan was adopted in October 2008.

Structure Plans look at how towns can best function.  They assist with planning for the future growth and development of the towns. The Wonthaggi & Dalyston Structure Plan provides recommendations on:

• what areas should be developed in what order

• how to integrate sustainability with liveability

• neighbourhoods that encourage walking

• the public facilities and buildings that should be provided
