Planning fees are prescribed by the Department of Planning & Community Development under the Planning & Environment (Fees) Regulations 2000. 

Information for Applicants

To ensure a timely response to your request, please ensure that the applicable fees are forwarded together with any supporting relevant information. Please note a reply will not be sent until payment is received.

How quickly can I get a Planning Certificate? 

You are able to apply for an urgent Planning Certificate.  The fee for this, over and above the usual application fee of $18.80 is $10.00.  A Planning Certificate provides zoning details and if any overlay controls apply.  You will need to supply contact details, such as a fax number or email for the Certificate to be issued.  If you wish to submit your urgent Planning Certificate application by fax our Planning Team's direct fax number is (03) 5671 2409. 

Request for Planning Information

A request for planning information fee of $66.00 (incl GST) applies.  This request ensures a written response to your planning enquiry. 

Extensions to the life of planning permits: 

For the first extension request, the fee is $110.00 (incl GST). For the second extension request, the fee is $165.00 (incl GST). For the third (and any subsequent extension requests), the fee is $220.00 (incl GST). 

A condition on a planning permit may require a Section 173 agreement. 

Approval and registration of Section 173 Agreements is $209.00 (incl GST).
