Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations - Statutory fees

The Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations list sets out statutory fees and charges associated with Planning Scheme Amendment and planning permit applications. Your planning fee may vary depending on the purpose of your planning application. The Regulations set fees in fee units. For ease those fee units have converted to a dollar value on the basis of the value of a fee unit as it is set for the 2018/19 financial year. A fee unit value is adjusted each year by the Treasurer's amount and is published in the Government Gazette.

In accordance with the Monetary Units Act 2004, the current value of a fee unit for the 2018/19 financial year is $14.45.

The current statutory planning fees came into effect on 01 July 2018.

Subdivision (Fees) Regulations - Statutory fees

New Subdivision (Fees) Regulations sets out statutory fees and charges associated with subdivision applications.

The relevant Regulations apply to council and referral authority services.  The Regulations are set fees in fee units.  For ease those fee units have converted to their dollar value on the basis of the value of a fee unit as it is set for the 2018/19 financial year. A fee unit value is adjusted each year by the Treasurer's amount and is published in the Government Gazette.

In accordance with the Monetary Units Act 2004, the current value of a fee unit for the 2018/19 financial year is $14.45.

Non-statutory fees as at 1 July 2018

The current non-statutory fees and charges (100kb) for Council's Statutory Planning Department are relevant as at 1 July 2018. The services relate to requests for copies of permits and plans, S173 Agreement lodgements, planning information requests, etc.

These fees are all GST inclusive. These fees are exclusive of other charges set by other bodies.

Information for Applicants

To ensure a timely response to your request, please ensure that the applicable fees are forwarded together with any supporting relevant information.

Requests for planning information

This request ensures a written response to your planning enquiry. A $209.60 fee applies and payment must be made when lodging your request.  Documentation that must be supplied with your planning enquiry includes a current copy of title (within the last 3 months of your request to Council) and proposed plans for assessment.

Extensions to the life of planning permits

For the first extension request, the fee is $255.60 (incl GST). For the second extension request, the fee is $255.60 (incl GST). For the third (and any subsequent extension requests), the fee is $357.90 (incl GST).  You are required to provide a current copy of title (within the last 3 months of your request to Council).

A condition on a planning permit may require a Section 173 agreement

Approval and registration of Section 173 Agreements is $886.60 (incl GST).

Applicants may seek to amend or end a Section 173 Agreement. Statutory fee applicable is $906.50.
