There are currently 39 public playgrounds throughout the major towns and smaller communities in Bass Coast.

The 2010-2015 Playground Plan (PDF 2.4MB) provides Council with guidance about the priority and presentation of playgrounds so that the long term needs of residents and visitors are met.

To keep our playgrounds appealing and safe, Council has a program of regular upgrades and maintenance. If you have any questions or concerns about one of our playgrounds or its equipment, please contact us on 1300 BCOAST (226 278).

• New playground equipment has been installed at Coronet Bay and Smiths Beach.
• Residents of Kernot and neighbouring towns are enjoying a new play unit at the Kernot Hall and Reserve.
• McHaffie Ward residents are encouraged to get active with the recent replacement of the Rhyll boat ramp playground and installation of bike racks across the Ward.
