Beaches & Foreshore Reserves

Foreshore Weddings & Functions

Council receives a number of requests for people wanting to get married on Council managed foreshores.

Residents and visitors are welcome to have informal weddings or functions on Bass Coast beaches.  An informal wedding is one that does not require structures like tents or marquees, but can include a small table and chairs for the elderly.  The wedding or function also should not interfere with the normal use of the area, including public access.

Council does not take bookings or reserve areas for weddings, and as such there is no cost.

Bass Coast Shire Council has developed a set of guidelines to help you find out what you can do for beach weddings and functions.
