Members of the public wishing to make enquiries about friends and / or relatives who may be impacted by floods currently affecting Queensland, should dial the Queensland Police - Flood and Information Line operating 24/7 on 1300 993 191 (This is for friends and or relatives only).

This is the only number that members of the public have been advised to call if they have concerns about friends and / or relatives living or currently visiting Queensland and whom might be affected by the current flood emergency.

NOTE: Callers should not call 132 500 for general enquiries about friends and / or relatives if they are outside of the State of Queensland as they will be connected to ESTA (Victoria).

In the event of a LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, the member of the public should be advised to hang up and to dial "EMERGENCY 000" in which case the caller can be be connected to their correct State.
