Caravan Park Registration and Monitoring

All caravan parks must be registered with us to ensure they maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards and that annexes, pre-fabs and un-registrable, moveable dwellings are built to Australian Certified Standards.

Pest Control Advice

We provide advice and information on the best ways to deal with pests like bees, wasps and mosquitoes.  The CSIRO can also assist with pest control information. Contact 1300 363 400 or visit the CSIRO or the DSE websites.

Testing of Public Swimming Pools and Spas

We regularly undertake the monitoring and sampling of swimming pools and spa pools within the Shire that are open to the public, located at municipal and commercial sites, schools, hospitals, hotels, motels, leisure centres, health studios, clubs, caravan parks and community health centres.  Monitoring of these pools involves on-site testing for levels of chlorine, pH, temperature, etc. Water samples are taken at random to ensure a safe water quality for all swimmers.

For any queries or complaints about swimming pool or spa pool water quality, please contact our Environmental Health Team on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
