In mid 2011 Council secured an option to purchase part or all of the 32 hectares of land on corner of Phillip Island Road and Ventnor Road, Cowes.
This year will see the purchase of a 16 hectare parcel of this land (aerial map - PDF 1MB), as a long term commitment to recreational space on Phillip Island.
