What does the AIAC do?

The role of the AIAC is to provide Council with advice and recommend practical solutions to access and inclusion issues for people with a disability. The AIAC supports Council's Disability Action Plan 2016-2020 (PDF 2.1MB).

The AIAC meets bi-monthly and is made up of 15 people, including one Councillor, six community representatives (including people with a disability, understanding of disability related issues, who care for someone with disability or representation from community group with links to disability issues), three disability service provider representatives, Council's Team Leader Community Development,  RuralAccess Worker and three other key Council staff representatives.
